Robin, Faith, Stephanie, me
The WCU girls. There are 5 of us. One is missing this time. We try to get together for a couple of nights at least once a year - at the coast, mountains or somewhere in between. We got together in the summer, but decided to do something at Christmas as well this year. So they came to my house. I remember vividly meeting Robin, Stephanie, and Rachel in our grad dorm. There was pretty much an instant connection, and I look back and I know God put us together. Robin and Stephanie were in school psych and Rachel in business, but living across from each other, we became fast friends. We couldn't study together as we did with our classmates, but we ate dinner together whenever possible and played together when we needed a break (even if it was just a long trip to Walmart). We met Faith through Robin and Steph since she was in their department. Our trips started as some got married, but they have continued as a way to reconnect, although we pick up right where we left off. I always feel recharged and ready to face the world after being with them - the sisters God did not give me by blood, but gave me through amazing friendship. This coming August, it will be 10 years since we met and we're returning to Cullowhee where our lifelong friendship began. I am already looking forward to that trip.
