Waiting game...

Well, looks like I'll at least get to enjoy the rest of my break by carrying on with my plans. I went back to the urologist today. He did an xray, and the kidney stone still sits in the same place it did on 12/17, despite the several prolonged bouts of pain I have had. At least it is not constant. He can't go get it at this point with the little "basket" because it could push it back in to my kidney. He said this would be like bobbing for apples. Great. So he said since I am not in major pain, and the pain I have seems to be controlled with pain med, then he wants me to wait it out and see if it will move at all. I go back in two weeks. At that point, he said he can use a stint to get it moving, but for now, he would recommend to wait and see what happens. Of course, if pain gets unbearable, he wants me back earlier than that. So we'll just see what happens between now and January 10th. Hopefully it will come out on its own, but this little booger is STUBBORN, evidently.
